GEO and AI SEO for online stores

Your customers’ AI agents are already shopping.

Proxa gets online stores ready for AI shopping agents: product data they can read, monitoring that catches problems, and checkout for agents as their platforms open up. Works with any store, with a plugin for WooCommerce and a module for Magento.

Free. No account needed. We read public pages only and never submit forms or touch checkout.

The problem

Shopify stores are getting agent checkout built in. Everyone else has to catch up.

AI agents shop by reading data, not by browsing pages. When prices, stock, sizes or delivery can’t be read reliably, the agent moves on to a store where they can.

Shopify merchants get agent features from the platform. WooCommerce, Magento and custom stores have to do it themselves, across several protocols that are still moving.

Shopping agent · illustrative

Find me waterproof walking boots, size 9, under £120, that can arrive by Friday.

I checked six stores. Three exposed size stock and delivery dates I could verify, so I compared those.

I skipped the others: one blocked agent access in robots.txt, and two listed sizes only as images, so I couldn't confirm a size 9 was in stock.

The second paragraph is the one Proxa is built to fix.

Where things stand in the UK

AI can’t buy from UK stores yet. It’s already choosing which ones shoppers visit.

Happening now

AI assistants search for products and send shoppers links

People ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Copilot what to buy. The assistant reads store pages, recommends a few and links to them, and the shopper buys on that store’s normal checkout. It can only recommend products it can read: names, prices, stock, sizes. A store with patchy product data gets left out of the answer, and the shopper goes elsewhere.

Coming

AI agents that place the order themselves

Buying through an AI agent isn’t open to UK stores yet, but it’s on its way. Agents will pick stores they can already read and trust, so the stores that are clean and checked when it arrives start ahead. Proxa Connect will let agents buy from your store as soon as it opens up in the UK.

So the work starts now: clean product data and a store AI can reach. That’s what Monitor and Clean do, and the free check shows where your store stands today.

Pricing

Pay for the modules you use.

Monitor and Clean work with any online store, with nothing to install. On WooCommerce and Magento, our plugin and module add a full catalogue check from inside your store, and Insights shows which AI agents visit and the sales from shoppers AI assistants send you.

Why it’s a subscription

Being visible to AI agents isn’t a one-off fix. It changes as the technology does and as your store does.

  • AI shopping is brand new

The protocols agents use to shop (UCP, ACP and MCP) are new and still changing, and so is what AI platforms read and which crawlers they send. We update our checks as they change, and Monitor re-checks your store every day.

  • Your catalogue keeps changing

Every new product is a new page for agents to read. Clean keeps checking your catalogue, new and edited products included, so missing barcodes, prices or images are caught before they cost you a recommendation.

  • Things break quietly

A plugin update, a theme change or a new firewall setting can block AI agents overnight, and nothing on your shop looks different. Monitor emails you when your score drops or a serious problem appears.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What are UCP, ACP and MCP?

They are open protocols that let AI agents discover products and complete purchases on a shopper’s behalf. UCP (Universal Commerce Protocol) and ACP (Agentic Commerce Protocol) describe catalogues, carts and checkout; MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a general way for AI assistants to call tools and data sources. Proxa exposes your store through each of them from one integration.

Can AI agents buy from my store in the UK?

Not yet. Buying through an AI agent isn’t open to UK stores today, but it’s coming. What already happens is that AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Perplexity search for products, recommend stores and send shoppers links, and the shopper buys on your normal checkout. They can only recommend products they can read, so clean product data matters now. When agent buying opens in the UK, Proxa Connect will let agents order from your store.

Which platforms does Proxa support?

Monitor and Clean work with any online store: WooCommerce, Magento / Adobe Commerce or custom-built. They check your store from the outside, the way AI agents see it, so there’s nothing to install. On WooCommerce and Magento, our plugin and module also check your whole catalogue from inside the store, and Insights (WooCommerce and Magento) counts AI agent visits and the sales from shoppers AI assistants send you. Connect (coming soon) starts with WooCommerce. On Shopify, agent checkout is built into the platform, and Monitor and Clean still check your store from the outside and alert you when something breaks.

What does the free audit look at?

Only public pages: your homepage, robots.txt, sitemap and up to five product pages. It checks structured product data, variants, catalogue completeness, AI crawler access, feeds, protocol endpoints and basics such as HTTPS and response time. It never submits forms or touches checkout.

Will Proxa slow down my store?

No. Monitor and Clean read your store from the outside the way an AI agent would, a page at a time with pauses in between, mostly at night, and back off if your store is busy. The WooCommerce plugin and Magento module run their catalogue checks in the background, never while a page is loading for a shopper. When Connect arrives, agent traffic will be served from a separate, cached layer rather than your theme.

Do I stay in control of what agents can do?

Yes. Today, AI agents only see what your store already shows the public, and your robots.txt decides which AI crawlers may visit: Monitor tells you which ones are allowed or blocked. With Connect (coming soon, starting with WooCommerce), any agent can browse your catalogue by default, and buying needs a key you give it or a signed request from a recognised agent platform. You set limits, revoke keys and switch open browsing off at any time; every request is logged in your store’s admin, orders placed by agents are marked with the agent, and switching Connect off stops all agent access.

How do agents pay for orders?

With Connect (coming soon), by a pay link. The agent builds the basket, then gives the shopper a link to your normal checkout to pay with whatever you already accept: card, PayPal, Apple Pay and so on. The order shows in WooCommerce as Pending payment until it’s paid, and if it isn’t paid within 24 hours it’s cancelled and the stock released. Card details never pass through the agent or Proxa, and your payment provider stays exactly as it is.

Are there fees per agent or per order?

Not from Proxa. With Connect, any number of agents can place any number of orders for the same monthly price. Your payment provider’s usual fees apply as they do to any order, and some AI platforms may charge their own fee for sales made through their checkout.

Why is it a subscription and not a one-off fix?

Because selling to AI agents is new and keeps moving. The protocols (UCP, ACP and MCP) are still changing, AI platforms change what they read and which crawlers they send, and we update our checks to match. Your store changes too: every new product needs the right data, and a plugin update or firewall setting can block agents without anything looking different to you. Monitor re-checks your store every day and emails you when something goes wrong; Clean keeps checking your catalogue, new products included. You can cancel any time.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. A store’s first plan starts with a 14-day free trial of the modules you choose, with everything working as on a paid plan. We take your card at checkout but charge nothing until the trial ends; the date is on Stripe’s checkout, your welcome email and your account, and we email you a reminder a few days before. Cancel any time before then from your account and you won’t be charged. One trial per store and per account: a store or account that has had a Proxa plan before pays from the start.

Can I use it now?

Yes. Monitor and Clean are available for any online store, Insights for WooCommerce and Magento stores, and the free audit is free for everyone. Run the audit to see where your store stands, then choose a plan or tell us about your store and we’ll get you set up.
